Orioles reinstate LHP Keegan Akin to bullpen

Mandatory Credit: James A. Pittman-USA TODAY Sports The Baltimore Orioles activated Keegan Akin from the paternity list on Friday and optioned fellow left-hander Nick Vespi to Triple-A Norfolk.
Akin, 29, is 2-0 with a 3.52 ERA in 51 relief appearances this season. In five seasons with the club, he is 10-17 with a 4.81 ERA in 152 appearances (25 starts).
Vespi, 28, had a 2.92 ERA in 11 relief appearances this season. He is 6-0 with a 3.88 ERA in 45 relief appearances with Baltimore over parts of the past three seasons.
